چکیده

Due to the rapid advancement of power semiconductor devices, use voltage source inverters (VSIs) has gained widespread acceptance. As a consequence, performance inverter emerged as critical aspect that is highly reliant on modulation strategy. The pulse width (PWM) technique most widely utilized method controlling switches VSI. Power quality always considered an industrial concern for VSI-based system such grid-connected renewable energy systems and motor drives which largely depends PWM used switching. However, existing schemes VSIs suffer from high total harmonic distortion (THD) loss problems. To mitigate THD VSI, hybrid been proposed in this paper. introduces modified modulating signal along with newly shaped carrier signal. A two-level VSI evaluate both without filter conditions against RL load. offers 0.89% filtered 0.69% current are lower than techniques. On contrary, at condition, shows THDs 45.77% 12.50% output current, respectively also those Apart these, reduces switching conduction losses compared simulation works carried out MATLAB/Simulink environment reduced scale experiment conducted laboratory technique.

Modified Unipolar Carrier-Based PWM Strategy for Three-Level Neutral-Point-Clamped Voltage Source Inverters

This paper presents a simple modified unipolar carrier-based pulsewidth modulation (CBPWM) strategy for the three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) voltage source inverter (VSI). Analytical expressions for the relationship between modulation reference signals and output voltages are derived. The proposed modulation technique for the three-level NPC VSI includes the maximum and minimum of the th...
